Chandigarh KV Student Wins 'Google4Doodle' Contest

As we all know, Google had very recently held a contest for students in order to give them a chance to put in their idea about India and create a Doodle. And now the name of the winner is out!! It is Arun Kumar Yadav, 9th Std From Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandigarh.

 

Arun Kumar's design was selected from the 13 finalists. His design brings to the fore India's rich diversity through his drawings depicting sports, folk culture flora and fauna; agricultural practices and spices and cuisines.

His Design clearly explained that India has diverse cultures, religions, languages, customs and traditions. This diversity can be witnessed in enthusiasm for sports; unique folk culture; extraordinary remarkable handicrafts; wide range of flora and fauna and so on .

Chandigarh Student Wins Google Contest

He won this contest to design a 'Doodle4Google' for the upcoming Children's day, this year. In order to celebrate holiday's, anniversaries and the lives of famous artists, pioneers and scientists and the Children's day logo, the search giant conducted an open competition for students of class 1 to 10 across the country.

The Great google said that; The theme based on the 'Unity in Diversity' has saw more than 2,00,000 entries from more than 1,000 schools. The Managing director of Google said "It is a grreat platform for youngsters in the country to showcase their talent. Over the years, the responses has only grown. The number of entries has doubled to 2,00,000 and the number of cities these came from has grown to 60".
