AP Accepts To Conduct NEET From 2014
Andhra Pradesh CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy gave a nod to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) from 2014.

AP CM said that he had held a discussions with Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in this regard. He said that they were expecting a formal announcement from Medical Council of India (MCI) anytime now and intermediate second year students could go ahead with their preparation fro EAMCET.

Kiram Kumar Reddy said that they had decided to request the centre to allow them to joint the national stream of entrance test from 2014 as the class 12 syllabus was designed to suit only EAMCET. Since the Class 11 syllabus from the present academic year was changed and designed on the line of CBSE, there would not be any difficulty fro the state students to take NEET from 2014.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has notified National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Postgraduate (PG) Courses commencing in the session 2013.

NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT).from November 23rd, 2012 to December 6th, 2012 at test centres located at 33 cities across the country. NEET-PG is a mandatory test for gaining entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses at all medical colleges under ambit of PGME Regulation of MCI. No candidate who has failed to obtain the minimum eligibility marks as prescribed, shall be admitted to any Post Graduate course.
