AICTE official said most of the second and third tier management institutions readily accepted the order. However, the educational body had issued the warning aiming at the top institutions, that they have refused to accept the CMAT scores.
An AICTE Official Said, "Due to the high level of competition for seats in some of the top institutions, AICTE decide to conduct the test twice a year. Aspirants can opt for the best score and secure admission to the institution or Universities of their choice".
AICTE decided to conduct CMAT test twice a year, notification is issued to conducting CMAT for admission for the academic year 2013-14. The students will be eligible to appear in both the exam and best of two scores will be used for admission.

"AICTE will blacklist these institution. It could also mean derecognition of these institutions, which will imply that the degrees that students get from these institutions, will not be valid for jobs in Government and public sectors", official said.
