The electronics and communication engineering department has received the maximum number of forms, 832.The other popular branches that students want to take up are computer science engineering and software engineering, which has received 564 applications against 42 seats. Courses like MTech in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering and production engineering have received some 440 applications.
The selected candidates will see their name on the university website on 28 June 2011 and the interviews will be held on 4 and 5 July respectively.However, the admissions to the 15 BTech programmes will be made strictly on the basis of the choices submitted by the students and their all-India ranks. 85 per cent of the total 1,218 B.Tech seats are reserved for students from Delhi.
