Every year on June 2nd, the Telangana state celebrates its formation day with pomp and fervour, holding numerous events, cultural activities, and so on. The state has a long and illustrious history dating back at least two thousand five hundred years. Telangana, as a geographical and political entity, was established on June 2, 2014, as the Union of India's 29th and youngest state.

The state covers 1,12,077 square kilometres of area and has a population of 3,50,03,674. From September 17, 1948, till November 1, 1956, the Telangana was a part of the Hyderabad state, until it was combined with Andhra state to establish Andhra Pradesh.

'South of North and North of South,' Telangana State has traditionally been a crossroads for people of various languages and cultures. It is without a doubt the best representation of India's diverse culture, pluralism, and inclusivity. Telangana is the link between India's north and south, located on the Deccan plateau's uplands. It's no wonder that the region overall became known for the Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb, and the capital Hyderabad as a "miniature India!"
The success of the Telangana Movement, which caused the bifurcation of then-united Andhra Pradesh, is recognised by the formation of Telangana. On June 2, 2014, a 57-year-old movement came to a head, gratifying the hopes of the Telangana people. The movement not only provided the residents of the region a distinct identity, but it also resulted in a change in India's map, which now shows the state's boundaries.
