To further strengthen this people's movement as we approach August 15th, 2023, 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' will be focusing on key areas of cultural and social growth. In juxtaposition with this, new themes have been perceived that are in line with the "Panch Pran" that the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has announced. Broadly, Theme 2.0 of 'Azadi ka Amritmahotsav' is categorized into the following 5 categories, which include:

1. Goal of Developed India: Women and Children, Inclusive Development, Health and Wellness, Tribal Empowerment
2. Remove Colonial Mindset: Aatmanirbhar Bharat
3. Take Pride in Our Roots: Cultural Pride
4. Unity: Unity in Diversity
5. Sense of Duty in Citizens: Water, Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE)
Let us dive into the different aspects of Theme 2.0 of Independence Day 2023 in detail:
1. Goal of Developed India:
Women and Children: The most important step to building a better future for any nation is to make investments in the education of its youth. A country's social and economic indicators, as well as its standing internationally, are directly impacted by the morality, education, and health of its children. Kids must therefore have access to health care services, civic, social, and moral education, as well as the most recent developments in various fields (including science, technology, culture, the arts, and education). India's childcare system has made significant advancements. Sanitation, healthcare, and education are still very much in need of improvement, especially for children living in rural and tribal communities.
In the same vein, women- both inside and outside the family- are a crucial indicator of the advancement and development of any country. The women's movement has made significant strides in India, where improvements can be seen in a variety of areas, including girl child health and education. The Central and Local Governments, NGOs, volunteer organizations, and most importantly, individual women who have changed the fabric of India through their persistent efforts and bravery, have all made contributions to this hard-won progress.

Inclusive Development: Inclusive development promotes equitable chances for everyone, regardless of one's social or financial circumstances, with advantages accruing to all parts of society. Improved access to basic utilities like housing, power, and water, as well as specific initiatives for the poor population, will go a long way toward creating an India that is even more inclusive.
Health and Wellness: Hospitals, Medical Devices, Clinical Trials, Outsourcing, Telemedicine, Medical Tourism, Health Insurance, and Medical Equipment are all part of the healthcare industry. The lens of illness prevention and illness treatment is frequently used to decode the meaning of health. Health-related historical perspectives are based on our in-depth knowledge of conventional procedures from old-school medical traditions like Naturopathy, Yoga, and Ayurveda. The history of health and well-being in India includes substantial contributions from Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy.
Tribal Empowerment: India's tribal people have been instrumental in preserving the rich culture and legacy of our nation. They have been recognized for their services to the independence fight through several projects run by 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. According to the 2011 consensus, 104 million tribal people were living in India, making up 8.6% of the total population. It is commonly known that the tribal group plays a crucial part in the development of India's story, whether it is through their involvement in the liberation movement, sports, or business.
2. Remove Colonial Mindset:
Aatmanirbhar Bharat: The vision of a new India envisioned by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan or campaign for a self-sufficient India. On May 12, 2020, the prime minister gave the country a wake-up call by launching the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan (self-reliant India campaign) and announcing a special economic and comprehensive package worth INR 20 lakh crores, or 10% of India's GDP, to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Making the nation and its people self-sustaining and self-sufficient in every way is the goal. He went on to list the five pillars of Aatmanirbhar Bharat: economy, infrastructure, system, vibrant demography, and demand. Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan reforms and enablers in seven sectors were also announced by the finance minister. To achieve the objectives of Aatmanirbhar, the government implemented reforms such as Supply Chain Reforms for Agriculture, Rational Tax Systems, Simple & Clear Laws, Capable Human Resources, and Strong Financial System.
3. Take Pride in Our Roots:
Cultural Pride: India is a multi-cultural nation with one of the world's oldest civilizations, stretching back more than 4,000 years. This period has seen the fusion of numerous traditions and practices, which reflect the rich cultural legacy of the nation. The country is unparalleled in many ways, from its rich cultural legacy to its status as the creator of some of the world's most delectable foods. It is safe to assume that the citizens of this nation are proud of their cultural heritage and actively carry on its traditions.

The idiom "Kos-Kos Par Badle Paani, Chaar Kos Par Baani" from the Hindi language sums up the diversity of Indian languages. In a multiethnic country like India, a common tongue serves as a unifier and an essential component of our culture. While moving from one State to another, one can explore amazing historical sites. People are embracing their culture, regional cuisine, language, and clothes with pride.
4. Unity:
Unity in Diversity: India is a heterogeneous country. The country encompasses a wide variety of cultures, customs, dialects, foods, clothing, festivals, and more from north to south and east to west. The foundation of an independent India has been laid by the vision of the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to advance as a unified force. This is why the Prime Minister mentioned "Unity" as one of the five principles for the 76th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2022. We will advance as a more unified union with these shared objectives in mind as we strive for the coveted 100 years of independence!
5. Sense of Duty in Citizens:
Water, Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE): To involve people in reducing the negative consequences of climate change, Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the mission of "LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment)" on the occasion of the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP26). The goal of this effort is to modify the prevalent "use and dispose of" consumption behaviors by promoting a lifestyle that emphasizes conscious and deliberate resource use. The purpose is to persuade people to make little, everyday changes that can slow down the effects of climate change. Leveraging the power of social networks to bring about change in the climate is another aspect of the LiFE objective. The program also intends to build a global army of environmental activists known as "Pro-Planet People," who are dedicated to embracing and supporting eco-friendly lifestyles.
The following sections are organized into the three LiFE Pillars:
- Focus on Individual Behaviors: Awareness of the negative impacts of single-use plastic and familiarity with environmentally friendly forms of transportation such as bicycles, e-bikes, and e-cars; consciousness about wastage of water; knowledge about environment-related labels (organic, plastic-free, no harm, energy star labels, etc.); consumption habits and making them greener - assessing personal carbon footprint; use of natural energy (wind energy, solar power, hydraulic energy); knowledge about conscious dressing (giving up leather, fur, animal tested products) etc.
- Co-create Globally: Accessible concepts for global transformation, for instance; understanding the negative effects of carbon-polluting sectors, being aware of investments that are good for the environment, implementing smart energy use, etc. fall under this section.

- Leverage Local Cultures: Knowledge about community gardens, making products out of waste, recycling clothing, the value of urban farming (hydroponic farming), cutting down on food waste, community-building activities, environmental lessons to be taught in schools, youth involvement, etc.
