IIT JAM 2019: All You Should Know Before Registering For The Exam

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur will be conducting the Joint Admission Test for MSc programmes (JAM) on February 10, 2019. The IIT JAM 2019 Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) is live now and interested candidates can start applying until October 10, 2018.

The entrance exam is conducted for admissions to MSc (four semesters), Joint MSc PhD, MSc PhD Dual Degree, etc. programmes at the IITs and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at IISc Bangalore. These courses provide opportunities to the students to hone their academic talent, which will lead them to a challenging and rewarding professional life. Here are the important things you should know about IIT JAM 2019.

IIT JAM Exam Date 2019

IIT Kharagpur will accept the IIT JAM 2019 application forms between September 1 and October 10, 2018. It will be conducting the IIT JAM 2019 exam on February 10, 2019. The results will be announced on March 20, 2019.

IIT JAM Application Form 2019

The online application for the exam is active now which is available on the official website. Interested candidates can visit the official website of JOAPS - https://joaps.iitkgp.ac.in/ to apply online.

IIT JAM Eligibility 2019

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding off should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL) category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD candidates.

IIT JAM Exam Pattern 2019

IIT JAM 2019 consists of seven test papers and will be carried out as an online computer-based test (CBT). The duration of the examination will be three hours. There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C. Candidates can either appear for one or two test papers.

IIT JAM List Of Test Papers 2019

The seven test papers are biological sciences (BL), biotechnology (BT), chemistry (CY), geology (GG), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS) and physics (PH).

IIT JAM Application Fee 2019

Candidates have to pay INR 1500 for one test paper and INR 2100 for two test papers. All the female candidates along with SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay INR 750 for one test paper and INR 1050 for two test papers.

IIT JAM Admit Card 2019

Candidates who applied for IIT JAM 2019 can download the admit card from JOAPS website from January 4, 2019, until the examination date. However, admit cards will not be sent by post/e-mail.

IIT JAM Result 2019

The results (merit lists) will be declared on March 20, 2019. The results will be available on the official website (http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in). The scorecard will be available for download from the JAM 2019 website from April 05, 2019, to July 31, 2019, for qualified candidates.

IIT JAM Syllabus 2019

Candidates should know about the IIT JAM syllabus prior to their application process. The syllabus for IIT JAM will be different for each test papers. Candidates are advised to visit the information broacher to see the detailed syllabus.
