Colleges in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is India's seventh largest state. Aside from thousands of schools spanning from pre-primary to senior secondary, the state also has various institutes that provides higher education.

The HRD Ministry has approved the establishement of The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Visakhapatnam, which will open in the 2015-16 academic year. The Andhra Pradesh Government founded Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGKUT) in 2008 to meet the educational needs of the state's rural youth. Many colleges, universities, and research institutes offer professional education in the Arts, Humanities, Science, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Business, and Veterinary Sciences, with undergraduates and postgraduate courses. The Deemed Universities are K L University, GITAM and Vignan University.
