CBSE Class 12 Sanskrit Core Question Papers 2026

This particular assessment by CBSE is aimed at gauging the level at which class 12 students possess skills associated with the language. It seeks to test various aspects such as speaking, listening, writing and reading among others so as to evaluate their knowledge on both cultural heritage or literature in Sanskrit. In the reading section, students work with poetic and prose Sanskrit text showing new ideas how to analyse them. Their interpretation skills are also required. The writing section has an objective of checking their aptitude in expressing ideas coherently either orally or in writing using essays, translations or summaries. The listening section involves listening to speeches or dialogues which helps gauge their comprehension levels. CBSE Class 12 Sanskrit Core exam is designed to test students' skills in Sanskrit Language. The examination, in addition to language proficiency, is also used as an instrument to test how well students understand the Sanskrit Culture, Language and Linguistic Skill. The design in therefore meant to thoroughly examine the ability of students to read comprehensively, write coherently, listen attentively and speak intelligibly in the given language.
