The Universal Higher Education Trust (UHET) has offered financial assistance in the form of a scholarship Rs 44 lakh to around 642 students of VIT University.
UHET offers the scholarship to the students who are from an economically poor background.

The founder of UHET and chancellor of the University, G Viswanathan said that the scholarships are awarded to the students to encourage and motivate the students from economically backward families.
More than 800 students had received the scholarship from the trust. The trust was established in 2012 to help the students in providing financial assistance.
