Kochi, November 7, 2014: The Rajagiri Valley campus is all set to witness one of the most celebrated quizzing events of the year. The much awaited finale of the Rajagiri National Business Quiz (RNBQ) is finally here. 16 teams comprising of 8 student teams and 8 corporate teams will engage in a battle of wits to win first prize. Scheduled for the 8th of November 2014, the grand finale will be hosted by renowned Quizmaster from Quizworks, Mr Rohit Nair. The theme for RNBQ 2014 is based on the board game Monopoly and the quiz promises to be as enthralling as ever. The prelims saw over 600 contestants partake from all over India. This year RNBQ is offering a total of 3.8 Lakhs as prize money to the winners
RajagiriNBQ 2014 is the 5th in the series of the national quizzing event, which sees huge participation from both the student and corporate community in India alike. RAJAGIRI NBQ aims to bring the best quizzing minds in the country on a single platform to battle for the first place. The nationwide reach of the quiz is apparent by the number of participants that register every year. This year over 600 contestants registered and competed against each other in the 3 online and offline prelims held on the 8th, 11th and 18th of October 2014. 12 two member teams comprising of 6 teams from the student community and 6 teams from the corporate community were shortlisted for the semifinals to be held on November 8th, 2014.

- Sai Mitra Constructions
- MobMe Wireless Solutions
The last prelims to be held on the 8th of November 2014 will see another 4 teams join the semifinals. A total of 16 teams will fight it out to win first place. The team that wins first place will walk off with a sum of 1 lakh rupees. The first and second runners-up will be awarded 50,000 and 30,000 rupees respectively. Besides this, all teams that participate in the semifinals will be given a cash prize of 5000 rupees.
Commenting on the Rajagiri National Business Quiz, Dr Rosemary Varghese, Assistant PGP chairperson of Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies said, "In a short span of 5 years Rajagiri National Business Quiz has established itself as a nationally recognized event where top corporate personnel clash with budding management students. It is the highest benchmark for the innovation and creativity of Rajagiri. This year RNBQ2014 promises to be exciting and entertaining as it's based on Monopoly. The participants will be pushed out of their comfort zones and challenged at every point as they make high stake calls and quick decisions. To give people a teaser of the RNBQ, a mobile application for Android phones was created by the students of Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies. The app named RajagiriNBQ presents users with a short quiz designed to challenge them. Launched recently on the Google App Store, the app is fast gaining popularity and has already been rated 4.7 out of 5 by most users.
