Karnataka CET Dates To Be Rescheduled As It Clashes With AIPMT

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has been asked to reschedules the exam dates for KCET 2016 as it coincides with the dates of AIPMT 2016.

The dates are being reschedules as there is a clash with AIPMT exam dates which is conducted by CBSE. The KCET 2016 was scheduled to be held on May 1, 2 and 3, 2016. The new dates for KCET is yet to be finalised.

KCET 2016 Revised Exam Dates

Candidates who will be appearing for for both, CET and AIPMT will have to face this clash of dates. Last year, the date of CET was pushed due to nationawide strike. The dates are either to be advanced or postponed.

Karnataka CET is conducted for admissions to various undergraduate (UG) professional programmes at government and private institutes in the state of Karnataka . CET provides admissions to Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturapathy and Yoga, Engineering, B.Sc Agriculture, Sericulture, Forestry, Horticulture, B-Pharma and D-Pharma courses and is applicable only for the students of Karnataka.

The AIPMT exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 1, 2016. The official notification of CBSE AIPMT 2016 will be published in the third week of December. Last year, AIPMT was held on May 3, 2015. The test, however, was cancelled by the Supreme Court due to the leak of question paper across 10 states in the country.
