Karnataka MAT 2016: Exam Dates Declared

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2016 exam dates is declared. The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) has scheduled the exam date for May 29, 2016.

 

Students who wish to seek admission to any of the following courses- Master of Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme, in private colleges across the state can appear for KMAT.

Eligibility Criteria:

MBA/PGDM

  • Candidates should have completed a Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years duration/ masters degree examination from any recognised education body in commerce, management, arts, social sciences, engineering/ technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50 percent marks in the aggregate (40 percent for SC/ST candidate).
  • Candidates who are pursuing final year of bachelor's degree is also eligible to apply

MCA
Candidates who wish to apply for the course should have completed Bachelor's degree with minimum 50 percent marks and must have studied maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the state level Management Aptitude Test (MAT).

Paper Pattern:

The paper pattern for the entrance tests is mentioned below:

MBA Exam:

  • The two-hours examination will comprise of 4 sections (1) verbal ability and reading comprehension, (2) quantitative ability (3) logical reasoning and (4) general awareness.
  • Verbal ability and reading comprehension, and quantitative ability will have 40 questions each, carrying 160 marks each. Logical reasoning and general awareness will have 20 questions each, carrying 80 marks each.

MCA Exam:

  • The 2-hours examination will consist of 4 sections, comprising (a) verbal ability and reading comprehension, (b) quantitative ability (3) logical reasoning and (4) general awareness.
  • Verbal ability and reading comprehension, quantitative ability will have 40 questions each, carrying 160 marks each. Logical reasoning and general awareness will have 20 questions each, carrying 80 marks each.

Important Dates:

  • Registration opens: April 5, 2016
  • Registration closes: May 10, 2016
  • Admit card download: May 20,2016
  • Test date: May 29, 2016
  • Result date: June 10, 2016
