The US News Education World Report published the list of the Best Global University Rankings 2016. This report from the US News identified about 14 Indian universities/colleges in the top list.
This features IISc and many IITs, surprisingly the Aligarh Muslim University is ranked higher to that of the Delhi University. Also universities like the Banaras Hindu University and Jadavpur universities have also made it the list alongside the elite institutions.
Students who wish to study in India can explore these colleges/universities in India for higher education. The rankings are given taking into account the schools' research performance along with the ratings by the member of the academic community around the world and in Asia.
