Top Engineering Branches most preferred by student

The nation's much awaited entrance examination IIT JEE Advanced 2014 results were announced on June 19.

Now students have to choose their preferred branches in Engineering / Technology.

All state in India have already announced their respective engineering entrance examinations results. This is the right time for selecting the colleges and branches in which they want to pursue their degree.

Most of the students are in a state of confusion which makes them think - Which one is the best branch in engineering? How many colleges are offering that branch? If I do CS branch, will I get a job?

Some of the students will select the branches, that they opted in counselling session / or while selecting online.

Computer Science in engineering is the most preferred branch among the students. Most of the engineering colleges in India offers CS branch.

In India, any person having a B.E / B.Tech in CS can attain job easily and get paid more. Most of the IT companies in India prefers CS candidates. There are many opportunities for CS graduates in foreign countries too.

But every aspiring engineering student will not get the CS branch.

Mechanical Engineering is the second most sought after branch by the students. A Mechanical Engineering degree will guarantee jobs in automobile industries, which is now a booming industry in India.

Electronics and Communication is the third most preferred branch in engineering.
