According to the Times Higher Education Asia Universities Rankings 2015, which were announced yesterday, June 10, 2015; Japan is still in the first position in the Asian Continent for the best universities.
However, Japan is said to be losing its balance of power to its neighbour China. As China has overtaken Japan as Asia's #1 nation for production top universities.
The top universities rankings employ 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, which are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments.
