When it comes to top colleges in India, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is safe. The NIRF ranking system was approved by the HRD Ministry and considers five parameters, namely Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity and Perception. The government has recently released the India Rankings 2018 and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) stands tall at the first position. However, IIT-Madras and IIT-Bombay occupied second and third places respectively.
