UGC NET has released fresh admit cards for the September 9–10 reconduct. Only candidates of English, Commerce and Sociology must download the new hall ticket. Check your re-allotted city and reporting time now. Carry the latest admit card to the centre. For download issues, use the official helplines.
NTA ordered the retest after an expert panel flagged factual and translation errors. No additional fee will be charged for these three papers. The schedule is fixed across two days and shifts. Candidates should rely only on the official website and notices for updates and instructions.

Only those who attempted English, Commerce or Sociology in June 2026 will re-appear. Results for 84 unaffected subjects were declared on August 28, 2026, and remain valid. Others do not need to test again. Review the subject-wise timing below and plan travel accordingly to reach before reporting.
| Subject | Date | Shift | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| English | 9 September 2026 | Shift 1 | 9:00 AM–12:00 Noon |
| Commerce | 9 September 2026 | Shift 2 | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM |
| Sociology | 10 September 2026 | Shift 1 | 9:00 AM–12:00 Noon |
Visit the official UGC-NET website, log in, download the admit card, and read all instructions. Ensure your name, photograph, subject, city and centre are correct. Only the freshly issued re-exam admit card will be accepted at entry. For discrepancies or download trouble, contact 011-40759000 or 011-69227700, or email [email protected].
Report two hours before the shift; the registration desk closes 30 minutes prior. Carry the admit card and an original, valid photo ID. Do not bring stationery, electronic devices, ornaments or eatables. Sit only at your allotted seat and follow invigilator directions. Breach of rules attracts strict action.
The city may differ from your earlier choice due to administrative reasons. You must test only at the centre, date and shift printed on the new admit card; change requests are not entertained. If the city slip or admit card will not download, use the NTA helplines immediately for assistance.
Results for 84 subjects were declared on August 28, 2026. Candidates in English, Commerce and Sociology will receive scorecards only after the September 9–10 re-exam. Until then, some may see an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message on the portal. Watch for a separate result notice after the reconduct.
Download the fresh admit card today, verify every detail, and plan to reach early with a valid photo ID. Avoid prohibited items and follow the shift timings exactly on September 9–10. Keep the helplines handy for urgent support, and track the official website for post-exam result updates.
