The first thing that you can do is to try to express what you feel. Language is not an issue at this point. Thus, one of the most effective ways to do so is to proactively participate in group discussions at home during family functions.

Make sure you speak not only with your mind but with your body as well. Often how you deliver a point is more important than what you are saying. This is true in the case of almost all top B-school entrance exams.

The only way in which you can speak and communicate effectively is by listening to what the other person has to say. If your replies are not in context and to the point, there is no point of having a conversation at all.

4. Read And Educate Yourself

Try to read up a lot. Make sure that the topics you read about are as diverse as possible. A well-read person knows a lot about the world around, which in turn allows them to hold an able conversation. Reading also improves vocabulary and helps to improve one's command over the language.

5. Hard Work

Once your communication skills have improved by a certain quantity, you should not stop. Doing so will make you stagnant and others will overtake you in the rat race for success. Hence, it is important that you make continuous and persistent efforts to improve yourself.

6. Practise

Have an optimistic attitude and know that with regular practise you will actually get there and communicate with others just the way you would like to. If you see that you are not performing the way you would like to, do not lose hope. By putting in consistent efforts you will get there one day.

By watching English movies/series and reading a lot of books you will improve your vocabulary, which will in turn pave the way for healthier communication and make sure you get that one seat in the top B-school that you have always wanted.
