Most of us feel studying is like climbing a HUGE mountain that grows bigger every time we think we have made it to the top. How do we make this "studying-task" effective? Wouldn't that be great if we knew the right way? Here are some of the ways to study the right way which could give positive results:
It is important to allocate a time for studying on a daily basis. Make a weekly time-table, including all the subjects and brief breaks so that you are well balanced.
It is important to know your "high energy period" or conversely your "being lazy time" . The energy level of a person varies throughout the day. Some of us might be active during the day, like early in the morning and some of us might be nocturnals.
Based on this, your schedule for studying must be made. All the things cannot be covered only during the day, or only during the night. If you are a "day person" have more topics to study during the day and some for night and vise versa.
A place that makes you feel good and pleasant must be chosen. This will act as a trigger and keeps you focused.
It should be well lit, airy and comfortable. You can even stick pictures of things that motivate you. Whenever you feel like giving up, take a look at the pictures, focus on the goal and get back to studying.
4) Remembering information:
There are several ways to remember something important. You could write it down as a point for a quick glance. Highlight the important data. Read out loud. Use symbols or diagrams or flow charts to represent what you have studied. Associate the things you read to something that comes to your mind easily.
For example, there is a list of things that you need to remember in the order. Associate the things with the names of your friends, so that you will be able to get the data when you need from your mind's register.
5) Share and receive:
Group studies is a great way to share and receive the knowledge. You can clarify doubts with the others who know about it. While you clear someone else's doubts you become more confident about the topic.
6) Take breaks:
Every machine that runs continuously needs to rest now and then. Your mind is like a machine too, when you are studying, it is storing the data continuously. Do nor overload it. Take brief breaks and continue studying.
If you have scheduled it right, then you will have enough time to revise. After finishing each chapter you must revise, so that the things you have studied will be stored properly in your mind, it is like memorising.
8) Confidence and positivity:
Finally, you have to have confidence and faith in your efforts and be positive and expect to score high!
