1. Commercial Pilot License

This is one of the lucrative professions and students who has passed class 12 are eligible. This is a commercial pilot training for the pilot's License Conversion Examination, which is conducted by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. The licence is given to those who have completed 200 hours of flight time.

2. Air Hostess/Steward

This is one of the most popular professions with the highest degree of respect. The job falls under the profile of flight attendants. Students are usually selected based on the written examination and an interview. Candidates who have good command over the English language will have an edge. Knowledge of foreign languages is also considered.

3. Secretarial Practice

This is a one-year diploma offered at various institutes spread across the country including the most popular National Institute of Open Schooling, which is an autonomous institute under Ministry of HRD. This diploma enables the students to take up contractual services in an organisation or get employed as office assistant besides being self-employed.

4. Customer Service Operator

The primary responsibility of the job is to communicate with the customers about the product. Most of the companies recruit the grade 12 candidates for this position. Depending on the company and type of business, skills vary. Along with passing 10+2, good communication skills and English language proficiency are required.

5. Interior Designer

Students who have graduated in class 12 can consider interior designing as a profession. Though there are various certificate and diploma courses in interior designing, the skills are considered primarily. Students can choose specialisations depending upon their interest and skill. Some of the interior designing specialisations are: hospitality design, workspace design, retail design, furniture design, etc.

Apart from the above-mentioned jobs, students can also consider government jobs after class 12. the most popular government jobs are: National Defence Academy (NDA), a soldier in the Indian Army, a sailor in Indian Navy, lower division clerk, stenographer, an assistant loco pilot in railway and others.
