JEE Main exam is around the corner. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the JEE Main April/May 2021 session amid the Coronavirus pandemic. NTA assures that Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam will be held at 660 exam centres across the country with adequate measures for the safety of all without compromising the high standards. The NTA has not specified anything about the JEE Main dress code in the 'Advisory for Candidates Regarding COVID-19.' JEE Main Dress Code

Candidates should get familiar with the advisory guidelines issued by NTA to avoid unnecessary stress or headache. One should know what to carry to the examination such as admit card and document for verification purpose.

NTA has mentioned that candidates are not permitted to carry any kind of metallic objects. Hence, one should jewellery and ornaments including watches.

Shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not permitted.

Candidates should report at least 1.5 hours before the gate closing time if they wear Kara or Kirpan due to religious reasons. One who wears these kinds of dresses will not be allowed to take the JEE Main exam without the screening process.

Aspirants are advised to not carry items such as a cap, dupatta, etc unless it is a customary dress. One should not cover their heads with any kind of clothing.

Candidates should not carry any handbags, stationery items, gadgets or communication devices.

JEE Main Dress Code For Female

Students who wear Kara or saree should report early for checking process. Candidates must not carry any kind of garments such as dupatta. One must avoid shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.

When the COVID pandemic situation hovering around, students must dress accordingly. One should wear a face mask and gloves.
