What Is CBSE Private Candidate?

CBSE Private Candidate

A private candidate of CBSE means who don't meet the eligibility criteria of regular candidates. The board will determine the private candidates based on a set of rules. Candidates are advised to check the CBSE private candidate eligibility for detailed information.

CBSE Private Candidate Exam Centre

The Board has released a notice regarding the postponement of exams due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Private candidates who have shifted from their district of examination centre to some other district in India can also make a request to change their examination centre.

The notice reads, "Candidates appearing for 2nd chance Compartment, Failures of the previous year, Improvement of Performance, Additional subject, Female candidates of NCT of Delhi, Visually Impaired candidates appearing as private candidates and Patrachar Vidyalaya candidates who have shifted from their district of examination centre to any district in India can also apply to CBSE on the link on the board's website or using Mobile App for change of district of the examination centre."

All the eligible candidate who has submitted the application form successfully can download their admit card from the CBSE website in January 2020. Important Notice On Private Candidates Admit Cards 2020

The CBSE has released an important notice regarding the signature of principal on the admit card of private candidates. The Board has asked the Central Superintendents to allow private candidates to appear for the examination though the admit cards have not been signed by the principal.

The official notice reads, "In order to avoid undue hardship to private candidates who are going to appear in Class X & XII Examinations-2020, all the Centre Superintendents of the Examination Centres, are instructed to allow private candidates to appear in the respective examination(s), even if their admit card has not been signed by the Principal. However, parent & candidate must have signed on Admit Card in the space provided for the same.''

CBSE Important Notice For Board Exam 2020

The Board has released an important notice regarding subjects offered by Private Candidates for Class XII examination 2020.

The notice reads, ''Question papers in the following subjects will be as per pattern as given for 2019 examination for the candidates appearing under the category private candidate.''

The sources suggest that subjects such as Mass Media Studies, Library and Information Science, Typography and CA English, Shorthand English, Typography and CA Hindi and Web Application will be conducted based on the pattern of 2019.

CBSE Private Candidate Eligibility

  • CBSE private candidate eligibility criteria rules are described below.
  • Candidates who have been declared fail in the previous year's academic examination, i.e., 2019.
    Candidates who have been placed in Compartment in July 2019.
  • Candidates who have been placed in Compartment in the main exam and did not appear for the Compartment examination in July 2019.
  • Candidates who wish to appear for Improving their Grades in one or more subjects. This is for pass out of candidates of 2019.
  • Candidates who wish to appear in an Additional Subject. This is only for candidates of 2014 or after.

Candidates or parents need to submit the online application form to appear for the examination. The CBSE private candidate application form will be available on the official website of CBSE. CBSE Private Candidate Result 2020

The Board will release the CBSE private candidate result in the month of May 2020. The result will be available only on the official website of CBSE. Candidates should note that marksheet cum certificate of 2020 examination will be issued to candidates who will appear for February/March 2020 exams. It will be available after the declaration of result.

A separate marksheet cum certificate will be released for candidates appearing for Improvement of Performance or Additional Subject. However, a consolidated marksheet cum certificate will be issued candidate who will appear for 2nd chance Compartment exam.
