The University of Manchester has announced a range of scholarships for Indian students for the September 2024 intake. These scholarships include the Humanities International Excellence Scholarships and the Global Futures Scholarships. They are designed to support exceptional Indian students planning to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate study at the university.

Global Futures Scholarship
The Global Futures Scholarship is available to students worldwide, including those from India. It is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
For Undergraduate Students
The university offers 100 merit-based scholarships of £21,000 each. Applicants must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2024 and possess one of the following qualifications: A Levels, IB Diploma, Indian Class 12 (CBSE, ISC, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat boards only), or Advanced Placement (AP).
For Postgraduate Students
The university offers 100 merit-based scholarships of £8,000 each. Applicants will be considered based on academic merit and the quality of their scholarship application.
Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships
The Humanities department offers bicentenary scholarships which provide financial aid options for qualified candidates. The academic session starting in September 2024 has already begun the admission process, and no new admission process is required for these scholarships. Updates on shortlisted candidates will be sent via email.
For Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students will receive £2,000 per year of study for any UG course.
For Postgraduate Students
Postgraduate candidates will receive £10,000 for one year of study. These scholarships are available to students in the School of Arts, Languages, and Culture, and the School of Environment, Education, and Development. All University of Manchester scholarships are applied as a deduction from tuition fees upon registration.
Humanities International Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support outstanding international students pursuing humanities disciplines at the postgraduate level. Applicants must have an offer to study with the university on an approved programme and must have achieved an overall score of 60-70 per cent (varies by Indian institution) in their undergraduate studies.
