Sheffield Hallam University, one of UK's well-known university is offering 2 scholarships to high-achieving students hoping to improve their professional and managerial skills in finance and project management. The University is working in partnership with the British Council to offer the scholarships, as part of the GREAT campaign to encourage India's brightest students to study in the UK.
Each scholarship is worth £5,000 and will be awarded to students who demonstrate high levels of academic, personal or professional success on their application form.
2 scholars from India will be be selected to study a masters course in Sheffield in the UK in January 2016 - one in MSc Project Management and one from the following courses: MSc Accounting and Finance MSc Banking and Finance MSc Finance and Investment MSc Financial Management. To apply for a GREAT scholarship, students must hold an offer for the relevant course.
James Richardson, Sheffield Hallam's director of international development, said: "We work closely with employers and professional organisations to ensure our courses are developing the skills which are required in business and industry.
"We welcome applications for our GREAT scholarships and look forward to welcoming more fantastic scholars from India in January."
In 2014-15, Sheffield Hallam offered GREAT scholarships in sports courses. Winning GREAT scholar Achyut, from Mumbai, said: "I wanted to study in the UK and when I searched for sports management, Sheffield Hallam came out among the top courses in the world. The contacts and partnerships that the department has makes it a really attractive choice."
