SBI's commitment to education is further demonstrated by its Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship, available to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC categories. This scholarship provides Rs 1,000 per month and covers 25% of class strength. SC/ST students are eligible for a separate scholarship with no cap on the number of awards, and they receive a monthly stipend of Rs 250, alongside refunds for License Fees and Dining Charges.
Since the programme's launch in 2022, the Asha Scholarship has awarded Rs 3.91 crore to 3,198 students, making education accessible for those from economically weaker sections.
