The Backward Classes Development Department Government of Kerala has initiated the OEC Post Matric Scholarship 2023. Eligible applicants are students from Kerala who are currently pursuing post-matric studies and are listed on the OEC list of the state. The application forms can be accessed on the official portal.
OEC Post Matric Scholarship
The OEC Post Matric Scholarship, implemented by the Backward Communities Development Department of Kerala, aims to provide financial assistance to OEC students pursuing post-matriculation or post-secondary stage studies. The scholarship is provided to help these students meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.
Benefits of the OEC Post Matric Scholarship
The scholarship covers the admission fees, tuition fees, special fees for lab, equipment, etc., along with a monthly stipend. The scholarship amount varies based on the course and level of study. This financial aid significantly reduces the burden of educational expenses on the student and their family, thus enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations unhindered.
Application Process
- Go to the OEC website of the Backward Classes Development Department to apply for the scheme.
- From the portal's home page, go to the schemes option and select the educational schemes option.
- Select the OEC post-matriculation educational support option.
- Choose the link in the column opposite the apply online button.
- A new web page will load; select the online scholarship application option.
- Choose the new entry option, and the application form will appear on the screen.
- Fill out the application with the necessary information and submit it.
- Following the submission of the registration form, additional applications will be available.
- Mention the requested information in it, and upload the necessary papers.
- Examine the application and click submit.
Eligibility Criteria
To avail of the OEC Post Matric Scholarship, students must belong to the Other Eligible Community (OEC) in Kerala and should be pursuing post-matriculation or post-secondary stage studies. Additionally, the annual income of the student's family should not exceed a certain limit as specified by the government.
