The National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is a prestigious scholarship examination conducted nationwide in India. It's meant to support meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections. One such state conducting this examination is Karnataka. The Karnataka NMMS 2023 is right around the corner, and the registration process for the same has begun by the Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council (KSQAAC).

The official website kseab.karnataka.gov.in is now accepting online registrations from Class 8 students who wish to appear for the NMMS examination. The registration window opened on September 13 and will close on October 04, 2023. The NMMS examination itself will be held on December 17, 2023, comprised of the Mental Ability Test (MAT) or Paper 1 in the morning session and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or Paper 2 in the afternoon session.
The eligibility criteria for participation in the NMMS 2023 examination have been clearly defined by the council. Only the students studying in 8th grade during the academic session of 2023-24 in government, aided and local body schools are eligible to apply. These students should have secured at least 55% marks or the equivalent grade in their 7th standard examinations. However, students from residential schools, central universities and military schools have been declared ineligible for the examination.
