IIT Tirupati to Offer scholarships for Students

IIT Tirupati is dedicated to making education accessible through a variety of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. These scholarships are tailored to support students based on merit and financial need, covering essential expenses like tuition fees, mess charges, and even offering pocket allowances. By setting specific eligibility criteria, such as parental income limits and academic performance standards, IIT Tirupati ensures that financial aid reaches those who need it most while also encouraging academic excellence.

For undergraduate students pursuing BTech, the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship is a standout opportunity. This scholarship is available to 25% of students with an annual parental income below Rs 4,50,000. It offers a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 and a full tuition fee exemption, provided students maintain a minimum GPA of 5.0. The Institute SC/ST Scholarship further alleviates financial pressures by covering mess charges, hostel seat rent, and providing a monthly pocket allowance, with a GPA requirement for renewal.

Postgraduate students in programs like MSc and MPP can also benefit from the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, which awards stipends and tuition fee waivers based on performance in the first semester. Additionally, the Free Studentship covers tuition fees for the first two semesters for 10% of admitted students, with renewal depending on academic achievements. For students from families with an income below Rs 4,50,000, the 50% Free Studentship offers a half tuition fee waiver, provided they maintain a minimum CGPA of 6.5.
