Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad and Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) Australia have launched a Joint Doctoral Program (JDP) for students in a new format. The Joint Doctoral Program is expected to commence from July 2021 for students who are interested to work in Science, Technology, and Design.
IIT Hyderabad and SUT Australia are involved in the Joint Doctoral Program since 2017, with an enrolment of 48 students since 2017. Through this program, the students will get a chance to spend up to one year at Swinburne University Australia supported by Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards Scholarship (SUPRAS). This is a four years program aimed at developing successful research and academic collaborations in the field of common interest and capabilities.
The students as per the Ministry of Education norms will receive a fellowship at IIT Hyderabad. The students will also get a top-up scholarship (150 AUD) from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) Australia while they are at IIT Hyderabad. They will be offered a 12-months Scholarship similar to Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards (SUPRA) from SUT.
The candidates should have completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent with at least 8.5 CGPA to apply for the course. The candidates should possess a valid GATE score.
