CCRT Scholarship 2019-20 For Young Artists, Apply Online Before December 5

An autonomous organization under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), has announced the award of scholarships to young artistes in different cultural fields. A total of 400 scholarships will be awarded to young artists of outstanding promise in the fields of Indian Classical Music, Indian Classical Dances, Light Classical Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, Folk, Traditional and Indigenous Arts.

400 Scholarships for the financial year (2019-2020) will be awarded. Each candidate will be paid Rs. 5000/- per month for a period of two years to cover his/ her living expenses on travelling, books, art material or other equipment and tuition or training charges. Interested candidates can submit the online application before December 5, 2019.

CCRT Scholarship 2019-20: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have adequate general knowledge in the concerned arts/disciplines. One should undergone a minimum of 5 years of training with their Guru/Institutes.

CCRT Scholarship 2019-20: Age Limit

The age should not be less than 18 years and more than 25 years as on April 1, 2019, for the year 2019-20. Age relaxation is not permissible to any category.

The official website reads, "Candidates will be required to appear for an interview/ performance before an expert Committee. The date, time and venue of the interview/ performance will be intimated to the candidates through e-mail given by the candidates in their online application. The selection will be made purely on merit."
