Assam Don Bosco University, a private educational college, has announced a total scholarship worth Rs 4 crore for students of all categories for the academic year 2021-22. Vice-Chancellor Stephen Mavely of Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) stated that the maximum scholarship per course is Rs 4.6 lakh, while the minimum is Rs 30,000.
"We give scholarships to kids from various backgrounds. On the basis of merit, economic background, and reservation status, a variety of financial help is available," he informed reporters. "We will award scholarships worth Rs 10.4 lakh under the sports quota, as well as scholarships to bright kids under the cultural quota because we appreciate co-curricular activities," he added.

According to the vice-chancellor, around 1,300-1,400 students, including those enrolled in online courses, benefit from the help. According to Mavely, all the 45 courses in various streams are covered under the scholarship programme, which will be funded by a combination of internal reserves, business partnerships, and government donations.
In terms of student placements, he said the university has a 74% recruitment rate and has invested Rs 22 crore in new companies across the northeast through its incubation unit. Earlier, Assam Down Town University (AdtU) which is another private institut announced its first scholarship programme, offering up to Rs 1 crore to deserving students from low-income families across the country.
