Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released its prestigious QS Asia University Rankings 2022. The QS Asia University Rankings 2022 featured a total of 687 universities spread across the Asia continent. As per the QS Asia Ranking 2022, Mainland China has the highest number of universities - 126 out of the 687 schools featured in the QS Asia Ranking 2022 followed by India and Japan in second and third place respectively
This QS Asia University Rankings 2022 also sees strong representation from South Korea and Taiwan.
The QS Asia Ranking 2022 is based on 11 key indicators including academic and employer reputations, the number of staff holding a Ph.D., and the percentage of international students.

The QS has prepared the Aisa University Rankings 2022 based on eleven (11) indicators - Academic reputation (30%), Employer reputation (20%), Faculty/student ratio (10%), International research network (10%), Citations per paper (10%) and papers per faculty (5%); Staff with a Ph.D. (5%), Proportion of international faculty (2.5%) and proportion of international students (2.5%); Proportion of inbound exchange students (2.5%) and proportion of outbound exchange students (2.5%).
Note: These last two indicators, not used in the global ranking, offer additional insights into the internationalization activity at universities in Asia, assessing the relative size of each institution's inbound and outbound student exchange programs, as per the QS Asia Universities 2022 report.
