Tripura University to conduct seminar on North- East India

Tripura University is organising a two-day National Seminar on Imaging and Imagining the North-East: Discourses on North-Eastern Literature, Culture, Creativity and Criticism on August 22nd and 23rd, 2014. this seminar is being organised by the Dept of English of Tripura University.

Those who are interested to participate are requested to mail a 300-word Abstract on any of the following sub-themes to any of the email ids mentioned below:

SUB THEMES:

• Literature of the North-East both original and in translation
• Issues of N-E history, ethnicity and culture, religion, race
• Imaging the North East in media and visual culture
• Music, textiles, food habits, ethno-medicine, etc. of the North-East
• Physicality of the North-East with reference to sports, sports administration, etc.
• Folk in the North East
• Conflict, Crisis and Trauma
• Languages of the North East

Registration Fees for Delegates is INR 1000, for Research Scholars, it is INR 500 and for students, the fee is INR 200.
