Journey of the Universe by edx

A wonderful exposure to the universe has been offered by senior research scholars of Yale school of forestry and environmental sciences. The online course designed is available of edx with the name "Journey of the Universe: A Story of Our Times". The course will start on September 26, 2016.

The scholars who have developed the course are Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim. There are twenty interviews with different scientists and environmentalists in this course. The course is based on the lines of the movie Journey of the universe.

About the course:

This specialization is having four courses, one project and certification. The four courses included are as given here:

• Journey of the Universe: The unfolding of Life - This course will have sessions from September 21 to November 14. The effort needed is 2 hours per week of viewing the lectures and 2 hours per week of reading articles and books.
• Journey Conversations: Weaving Knowledge and Action - This course will have sessions from September 21 to November 21. The effort needed is 2 hours per week of viewing the lectures and 2 hours per week of reading articles and books.
• The Worldview of Thomas Berry: The flourishing of the earth community - This course will have sessions from September 21 to November 14. The effort needed is 7 weeks of study where maximum of 3 hours per week should be dedicated.
• Living Cosmology - This course will have sessions from November 2 to November 28. The effort needed is 6 weeks of study.

Course fee:

The total cost for the specialization is Rs. 15,768 which is having 10% discount if all the courses are brought at once. The cost for each course separately is Rs. 3,942.
