IIT Roorkee To Launch Advanced Certification Program In Cloud Computing And DevOps

The Electronics & ICT (E&ICT) Academy of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and online learning platform Intellipaat have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) to launch an advanced certification program in Cloud Computing and DevOps.

Cloud computing principles, DevOps tools, AWS, Virtualisation, Cloud Security, and other topics will be covered in the seven-month advanced certification program. Faculty from IIT Roorkee and industry experts will lead the course, which aims to help professionals learn the most in-demand skills.

Learners will participate in a variety of hands-on exercises and project work as part of this online program. All enrolled students will receive career services from Intellipaat, including mock interview preparation and 1:1 mentorships.

According to IIT Roorkee, every firm is going towards Cloud and DevOps, which have been named as two of the most in-demand technologies of the future and must-have skills for software professionals.

India is expected to create 60 million to 65 million jobs by 2025 in a variety of industries where Cloud computing and DevOps skills are critical, according to LinkedIn's 2020 Emerging Jobs Report India. The trend toward cloud usage has accelerated significantly in the recent year, as the COVID-19 compelled organisations to enable and support more remote, distributed workforces, says IIT Roorkee.
