IIM Bangalore offers online courses on Edx

IIM Bangalore (IIM-B) in partnership with Edx, has introduced a series of free Massive Open Online Courses.

IIM-B, associated with Edx last year had assured that it would make courses available within a year.

The B-school aims at providing several of its courses on the Edx platform for free.

The school named under IIMBx, will offer 4 courses in the beginning and the other two courses will be introduced in the next month, followed by one in August and one in October this year.

Presently, IIMBx will offer courses on Statistics for Business Stats-I, Innovation and IT Management and Introduction to Operations Management.

Besides, the online course platform is also offering course takers an option to avail a Verified Certificate of Achievement costing Rs 1,500.

According to Edx president Anant Agarwal " India is its second biggest user base outside the US, and also been the second largest market for edX, accounting for 12% of its global user base."
