ZEST 2014 commences at Lingaya’s University

ZEST-2014 has taken up the theme NAVRASA - the fusion of the nine rasas, the sublime emotions of the psyche. The whole event and the variety programmes are based on this theme of NAVRASA.

In his address, Prof Siddqui, Chancellor, Lingaya's University remarked the cultural fest like ZEST 2014 provides a platform not only to show case the talents but to groom, train, mould develop various skills, talents and potential of students in organizing, decision making, problem solving, team work, both intra and inter- personal qualities and managerial skills.

A mesmerising theme based performance was done by students of junior section of Lingaya's Public School with an important message to save our mother Earth. An electrifying Giddha performance, held at the inaugural session set the tone for this year's ZEST 2014.

Students in large number participated in various competitions held during the day such as Rangoli Making, stage play, Movie Junkies, Matki phod, Hip hop till you drop (snakes n ladder), Spelling Bee- literary committee

Day one ended with an enthralling performance of Pratigya BandThe next two days of the fest is also going to have an eclectic mix of musical, dance, fine arts, theatrical and literary activites such as Aria, Solo Dance, Dalaal street, Act to act, Bhaagam bhaag, Saaz, Mime, Jam, Mr and Mrs. ZEST, Fashion Show and so on, besides Aditya Pancholi will judge the Fashion show and a star night by Shefali Alvare (who sang Badatameez dil, subha hone na de).
