XAT 2025 Expands to 34 New Cities for MBA Aspirants: Making Dreams More Accessible

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), one of the most prestigious national-level entrance exams for MBA and PGDM programs in India, has unveiled an exciting development for its 2025 edition-34 new test cities. This strategic expansion aims to bring the exam closer to candidates across the country, allowing them to take the test in locations that are more convenient and accessible.

Recognizing the increasing interest in the XAT exam, the decision to add more test cities is a response to the growing demand among aspiring management students. With this enhancement, candidates can now choose from a broader range of options, including up to six preferred cities, making it easier for them to select their test centers based on their proximity and convenience.

For those who have already registered, the opportunity to modify their selected test cities will be available on September 28th and 29th, 2024. Candidates who have yet to apply can also look forward to this option starting from September 28, 2024.

Dr. Rahul Shukla, Convenor of Admissions for XAT 2025, stated, "The growing interest in the XAT exam has prompted us to increase the number of testing locations. This expansion is designed to cater to our aspirants' needs, allowing them to select from up to six preferred cities, which greatly enhances their accessibility and convenience."

Understanding XAT

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) has long been esteemed as one of India's foremost entrance examinations for MBA and PGDM programs. Administered by XLRI Jamshedpur, XAT serves as the gateway to over 250 business schools across India. The exam rigorously assesses essential competencies such as aptitude, logical reasoning, language skills, and decision-making abilities, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of candidates aspiring to succeed in management.

The 2024 edition of XAT witnessed an unprecedented surge in interest, with 135,000 applicants demonstrating its significance and appeal among MBA/PGDM hopefuls.

Registration Information

The registration process for XAT 2025 began on July 15, 2024. Interested candidates can apply through the official XAT website (www.xatonline.in). The registration fee is set at ₹2200 for all candidates, with an additional charge of ₹200 for each program applied to at XLRI. Candidates can make payments online through various methods, including credit/debit cards, net banking, or IMPS.

This expansion of test cities not only signifies XAT's commitment to accessibility but also ensures that aspiring management professionals can pursue their dreams with greater ease and convenience.
