The Xavier Aptitude Test, commonly abbreviated as XAT has released an official notification. According to the notification; the XAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on January 5, 2025. Registration has started on July 15, 2024, and will end on November 30, 2024. This test will be computer-based, lasting 3.5 hours, and will be held at over 100 centers throughout India. Over 1000 B-schools in India will consider the XAT 2025 score for MBA admissions.

Key details about XAT 2025 include an increased exam fee of approximately Rs. 2200 and a shortlist of around 2500-3000 students for the PI round at XLRI. The expected cutoffs are 96%ile for male engineers and 91%ile for female engineers based on XAT 2024 data. Other top B-schools have cutoffs ranging from 70-90 percentiles.

XAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

The XAT 2025 exam pattern comprises five sections with a total of 104 questions to be answered within 3.5 hours. The marking scheme awards +1 mark for each correct answer, deducts -0.25 marks for incorrect answers, and -0.10 marks for more than eight consecutive un-attempted questions.

The syllabus includes Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and Essay Writing. Candidates should prepare by following a structured study plan, making notes, reading newspapers, and solving mock tests.

Eligibility Criteria and Registration Process:

To be eligible for XAT 2025, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline. Final-year students can also apply. The registration process involves creating an account, selecting the exam city, uploading photographs and signatures, and paying the registration fee.

Selection Process:
