Bengaluru is set to experience a refreshing change in weather, with forecasts predicting light to moderate rainfall from April 2nd to April 4th. This much-anticipated spell of showers will bring down temperatures by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, offering residents a welcome break from the recent heatwave. The rain is expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, adding a dramatic touch to the shifting weather patterns.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) attributes this weather shift to an active cyclonic circulation over the Southwest Bay of Bengal, near the Tamil Nadu coast. This system is pulling moisture-laden winds towards Karnataka, leading to increased cloud cover and precipitation.
For today, Bengaluru's temperature is forecasted to range from a cool 21 degrees Celsius in the morning to a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, with the sun setting at 6:31 PM.
Several districts in Karnataka, including Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, and Hassan, are also set to receive showers over the coming days. The IMD has even issued a Yellow Alert for April 3rd and 4th, cautioning about potential hailstorms in isolated regions.
On April 3rd, light to moderate rainfall is expected to persist, keeping the skies overcast throughout the day. The temperature is projected to range between 22 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, a noticeable drop from the recent highs of 35 degrees Celsius.
