The Environmental Engineering focuses on waste water management and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, radiation protection, industrial hygiene, environmental sustainability, and public health issues as well as a knowledge of environmental engineering law. It also provides information about environmental impact of proposed construction projects.

In 1952, Dr. Alagappa Chettiar's dream came true. Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology started functioning from 21st July 1952 with three faculties- Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Foundation tablet for the main building of the college was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India on 19th February 1953. Before Dr. Alagappa Chettiar could bring all his dreams into reality, he passed away.

Jagannath University, Rajasthan

Jagannath University has been established in the year 2008, by an Act (Act No. 19 of 2008) of the Rajasthan State Legislature and is approved under section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 vested with the authority to award Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh

Andhra University is not just one of the oldest educational institutions in the country, but is also the first to be conceived as a residential and teaching-cum-affiliating University, mainly devoted to post-graduate teaching and research.

BMS College of Engineering, Karnataka

BMS College of Engineering [BMSCE] was Founded in the year 1946 by Late Sri. B M Sreenivasiah as the first Engineering College under private enterprise and nurtured by his illustrious son Late.Sri.B.S.Narayan. Started with only three courses, BMSCE today offers 13 UG &14 PG programmes with 14 Research Centers offering PhD programmes.

He undergraduate programmes of the college have been awarded the autonomous status by the government/ university from the academic year 2008-09 onwards. It is positive reflection on the academic excellence nurtured by the college. Autonomy has provided academic flexibility that is required to periodically review the course contents and mechanisms of course delivery in the light of changing demands of the market.
