West Bengal TET Exam Results Declared After Orders From Calcutta HC

West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) declared the results of the teacher eligibility test (TET) yesterday on its official website. The test was held on October 11, 2015 for recruitment of primary teachers in the state. More than 20 lakh candidates had taken up the examination for recruitment of around 3,000 primary teachers in West Bengal.

The results were published after the Calcutta high court ordered West Bengal government to declare the TET results immediately. "The court had earlier put a stay order on releasing the results and after the verdict came we immediately published the results," board president Manik Bhattacharya said.

Candidates can access their results from the official website of WBBPE in the steps listed below:

  • Log on to the official website of WBBPE
  • Enter your roll number in the space provided
  • On successful submission, the results will be displayed on the screen.

    The results could not be published earlier due to litigations filed by some candidates. They had challenged some provisions, including the inclusion of non-trained candidates for teaching jobs.

    West Bengal TET Exam Results Declared

    The total marks for the test were 150 while the qualifying marks were 90 which is about 60% of the total marks. s per the notification, a relaxation of 5% was given to SC, ST, OBC(A), OBC(B), PH and Exempted Category candidates and Ex-Servicemen.

    All successful candidates should note that If any particular declared or furnished by them is found to be incorrect, or any violation of rules, regulations, instructions etc. his/her candidature shall be treated as 'disqualified'.
