West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 For 8,419 Constable Vacancies; Apply Before 05 March 2019

The West Bengal Police (WBPRB) under the Govt. of West Bengal has invited applications both in online and offline mode from eligible Indian nationals for filling 8,419 Constable (Male) Vacancies to be appointed across the State. The online registration cum application process towards the same will start from 05 February 2019 and close on 05 March 2019.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for the post of Constables through West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 must have attained 18 years of age and not have exceeded 27 years as on 01 January 2019, with a relaxation in the upper age limit up to 30 years for OBC candidates and 32 years for SC/ST applicants.

Candidates must pay a requisite amount of Rs. 170/- (Gen/OBC) as the application cum processing fee through online mode using Internet Banking/Debit/Credit payment gateways, or through offline mode through DOP/UBI as detailed in the notification. SC/ST candidates must pay Rs. 20/- as processing fee only.

Educational Criteria And Language Proficiency

Desirous candidates applying for the post of Constables through West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 must have qualified Madhyamik Examination or equivalent from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, and must have proficiency in Bengali language in all its forms, i.e., should be able to speak, read and write the Bengali dialect.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as Constables through West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 will be done based on the following:

  • Preliminary Written Test (100 marks)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Final Written Examination (85 marks)
  • Interview (15 marks)

Candidates selected as Constables through West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 will be paid an emolument in the scale of Rs. 5,400/- to 25,200/- per month with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2,600/-.
