The West Bengal Council of Upper Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will soon release the WB upper secondary or Class 12 results for 2024. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's official websites, wbchse.wb.gov.in and wbresults.nic.in, allow candidates who took the examination this year to view their results. Today at 1 p.m., there will be a press conference to reveal the WB HS Class 12 Results 2024. The official website, wbchse.wb.gov.in, will launch the link to see and download the Class 12 West Bengal board exam results at 3 p.m.
West Bengal 12th Result 2024: Pass Percentage Over The Years
The results of the 2023 Class 12 Board examination were released on May 24, with an overall pass percentage of 89.25 percent. Additionally, 8,24,891 candidates in total took the Class 12 board examination, of which 7,37,807 candidates were successful.
In 2022, there were 7.5 lakh students registered for the WB 12th or Uccha Madhyamik examinations. In the West Bengal Class 12 board examination, 86.9% of girls passed, while 90.19% of boys passed, making the overall pass percentage for the WBCHSE Class 12 examination 88.44 percent. Compared to 2021, when 97% of students passed the exam, this was a significant decline. It should be mentioned that the examinations were not conducted in that year, and the results were announced using a different assessment mechanism.
In 2021, 96.79% of Class 12 students passed the exam overall. Girls passed with a pass rate of 97.70%, while boys passed with a pass percentage of 97.69%.
For the year 2020, the overall pass percentage in WBCHSE Class 12 was 90.13, with 90% of girls passing the West Bengal Class 12 board exams and 90.44 percent of boys.
In 2019, the overall pass rate was 86.92 percent. Girls passed with an 85.3 percent pass rate, while boys passed with an 87.44 percent pass rate.
From February 16 to February 29 2024, the WBCHSE held the Class 12 board examination, to which almost 7.8 lakh students took part. In order to pass the West Bengal Higher Secondary Exam this year, students need to obtain a minimum number of marks in each subject. Thirty percent of the final scores for each subject are required to pass. This implies that in order to pass, students must receive at least 30 out of 100 in each required subject.
