In the beginning of 2022, 10,98,775 students registered for the West Bengal Madhyamik exam; 9,49,927 of those students passed the test. The passing percentage for 2022 as a whole was 86.60%.

In 2020, 10,35,666 students took the West Bengal Madhyamik examination, and 8,43,305 passed it. The total pass rate came out to be 86.34 percent.
