WBPSC Postpones Civil Service Exam 2021 Due To Assembly Elections

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has postponed the Civil Service Exam 2021 due to Assembly General Elections in the State. It has postponed the West Bengal Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2021 scheduled on March 21. The Commission has also postponed the West Bengal Civil Services Main Examination 2020 scheduled between April 24 and 28, 2021. Candidates are advised to check the official website for revised dates.

The official website reads, "The Commission has decided to postpone the following examinations till 15th of May, 2021, owing to pre-occupation of the administrative machinery with activities related to conduct of the ensuing Assembly General Elections in the State."

It also reads, "All concerned are requested to visit to the Commission's website at https://wbpsc.gov.in for further updates on the examination schedule."

The West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) is a combined competitive exam comprising four distinct exams for various posts under Group A, B, C and D services. The selection of the candidates will be based on the preliminary written exam, a main written exam and a personality test.
