WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling Phase 2 opens on Thursday, September 17 at 5:00 pm, and closes Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 pm. This window targets the final residual and resultant vacancies in engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy. Candidates must register, upload documents, give portal consent, and lock choices within the active window.
Already admitted students can join Phase 2 without surrendering their current seat. The existing admission remains protected until a new admission is confirmed after institute verification. One-time replacement is allowed only in the immediately succeeding phase, and you cannot seek the same college–stream combination you already hold.

Vacancies publish Wednesday, September 16 at 11:00 am. Phase 2 registration and choice submission run September 17 (5:00 pm) to September 19 (7:00 pm). Round 1 allocation releases September 20 (6:00 pm); accept-and-lock is September 21–22; institute reporting September 24–26. Round 2 follows on September 28–30, with reporting October 1–3.
Eligible candidates include WBJEE 2026 rank holders, JEE(Main) 2026 rank holders, and 10+2 merit candidates where permitted. West Bengal domicile rules govern reservation eligibility. Candidates already admitted cannot apply for the exact same college–stream again through DC. Fresh registration is permitted for first‑timers in Phase 2.
Pay a one‑time, non‑refundable Rs 250 registration fee on the DC portal. Choices are an unordered set and freeze at window close; no edits within the phase rounds. On selection, pay a Rs 2,000 seat‑acceptance fee, refundable or adjustable per notified rules, or the selection lapses. Provide portal consent as prompted.
Carry originals and copies of photo ID, date of birth and address proofs, domicile certificate (if applicable), WBJEE/JEE(Main) rank card, category/EWS and valid OBC‑NCL certificates, PwD/OCI/TFW documents, and Aadhaar if asked. Institutes verify and confirm admission within the reporting window; mismatches can lead to rejection.
You may lock only one selection per round. Non‑payment, non‑response, or failure to report after paying can cancel the selection and may debar you from remaining DC rounds. Track the live vacancy matrix and updates only on WBJEEB’s decentralised counselling portal for institute‑wise changes.
Set reminders for September 17–19 registration, September 21–22 acceptance, and institute reporting windows. Keep documents ready, verify category proofs, and budget for the seat‑acceptance fee. Use the portal’s vacancy view to prioritise realistic options, and lock early to avoid last‑hour errors. An informed, on‑time response maximises your chances.
