The Health and Family Welfare Department, under Government of West Bengal, through the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB), has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 1,174 vacancies to the post General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) through direct recruitment. The application-cum-registration process towards the same started on June 19, 2020 and closes on June 29, 2020 by 8:00 pm.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for GDMO posts through WBHRB Recruitment 2020 must not have exceeded 36 years of age (Medical Graduates) and 40 years of age (Post Graduates) respectively as on January 1, 2020 with relaxation (upper age limit) for OBC-NCL, SC/ST and PWD candidates as applicable.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 210 as application processing fee in any Bank participating in the GRIPS (Govt. Receipt Portal System), Govt. of West Bengal at Government Receipt Head of Account.

Educational Criteria And Experience

Desirous candidates applying for GDMO posts through WBHRB Recruitment 2020 must possess an MBBS Degree/Medical qualification from a recognised University/Institute with relevant years of work experience and must be registered as Medical Practitioner in the Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Council.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as GDMO posts through WBHRB Recruitment 2020 will be done through Shortlisting and Examination/ Interview.

Candidates selected as GDMO posts through WBHRB Recruitment 2020 will be paid an emolument of Rs. 67,820 per month.
