The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has issued a partially revised routine for the Higher Secondary Semester III Examination 2027. The latest revision changes the dates of three papers that were originally scheduled for October 5, 6 and 7, 2026. The affected examinations will now be conducted on October 12, 13 and 14, 2026, respectively. The revised notification was issued under Notification No. L/PR/348/2026.

The revision has been made in view of the bye-elections scheduled for October 6, 2026, in Nandigram and Rejinagar Assembly constituencies. The overall WBCHSE Semester III examination will continue to be conducted from September 21 to October 14, 2026.
Students appearing for the examination should follow the latest routine and replace the earlier dates for the affected subjects
| Earlier Date | Revised Date | Subjects |
| October 5, 2026 | October 12, 2026 | Mathematics, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics, Basic Mathematics for Social Sciences, Agriculture (AGRI), Journalism and Mass Communication, Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic |
| October 6, 2026 | October 13, 2026 | Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Sociology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Fisheries and Aquaculture |
| October 7, 2026 | October 14, 2026 | Biological Science, Political Science, Costing and Taxation |
The revised papers are scheduled from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.
The Semester III examination is scheduled to begin on September 21, 2026. The initial routine covers language papers, vocational subjects and various arts, science and commerce subjects, followed by the three papers shifted to October 12, 13 and 14.
The latest routine available on the official WBCHSE website identifies the Semester III Higher Secondary Examination 2027 as the current examination schedule.
Students should carefully check their subject combinations against the revised routine because only the specified examination dates have been changed.
WBCHSE has revised the examination schedule because of the bye-elections in Rejinagar and Nandigram, which are scheduled for October 6, 2026. The changes affect the papers originally planned for October 5, 6 and 7.
The Council's latest notification is a partial revision, meaning the remaining dates in the previously issued routine continue unless specifically changed by another official notification.
Students should download and keep a copy of the latest WBCHSE routine and use it while preparing their examination timetable. They should also carefully check the date, subject and examination timing before appearing for each paper.
Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time and carry their Semester III admit card on every examination day.
Students should also follow any additional instructions issued by their schools and WBCHSE regarding examination centres, admit cards and examination-day requirements.
Students can check the latest routine through the official WBCHSE website. The Council's website has a dedicated Routine section where the Semester III Higher Secondary Examination 2027 schedule is available.
Students should download the latest version rather than relying on older copies of the timetable circulated online. WBCHSE has already issued multiple examination-related notifications for Semester III, including the partially revised routine and revised admit-card instructions.
The West Bengal HS Semester 3 Examination 2027 will therefore conclude on October 14, 2026, following the latest revision. Students should follow the updated schedule for the three postponed papers and rely on WBCHSE notifications for any further changes.
